LET YOUR MERCIES BE STIRRED, HASHEM OUR G-D

The righteous ones are worthy of more mercy, and we therefore ask that Hashem activate and increase His mercies upon them. We express here that Hashem is “Elokeinu”, “our G-d”, in order to emphasize the merit of the righteous who cause the presence of Hashem to rest upon our nation in greater measure by virtue of their especial righteousness and devotion.
